Your Facebook Page Call to Action Buttons April 4, 2018Leave a comment

Help people interact with your business!

People see your call to action buttons on your Page and in search results when your Page appears.

As you’ll see below, some pages have ONE Call to Action buttons and others have TWO Call to Action button.

But WHY???

So here’s the catch…

Technically, there is only ONE editable Call to Action button, the Message Button is automatically added as long as you enabled the option for people to contact your page and set-up your editable Call to Action button.

Can People Message Your Page? Let’s Check.

Go to your page, click on SETTINGS. You’ll land on the General settings tab, look for Messages and click the checkbox to allow people to contact your page privately through Messenger.

Setup Your Editable Call to Action Button

Adding the call to action buttons to your page is very easy (as long as you’re an admin or editor of the page). First, go to your business page, then click “Add Page Button” or “Edit Button” if you already have a button set-up.

Add CTA button to your page

You can click on any of the options above and you’ll be shown a secondary menu with additional options. Pick the one that best fits your business. The only exception is under Contact You… DO NOT select ‘Send Message’. If you do, your page will only have ONE Call to Action button, instead of TWO. It’s impossible for your page to show two buttons that both link to Messenger.

Once you’ve set up you editable Call to Action button, you can then hover over it and select “Test Button” to make sure it’s working properly.

How to View Your Call to Action Buttons

If you view your own Facebook page as an admin or editor, you will only see ONE Call to Action button. The button you’ll see is the editable Call to Action button you just set-up. To check your page bor both your editable Call to Action button and the Send Message button, you’ll need to view your page as a visitor.

Visit your page and click the three dots … next to the Share button. In the drop-down menu, select View as Page Visitor.
